CHIP Member Update

CHIP annual open enrollment starting May 1, 2024

CHIP members have the chance to change their health plan once each year. All CHIP families will get a letter (English & Spanish) in the mail about open enrollment.

This year members can request a health plan change May 1- June 15, 2024. If a change is requested, the new health plan will begin on July 1, 2024. For more information about open enrollment, call or email the Health Program Representatives (HPR) at 1-866-608-9422 or [email protected]. Please have your case number ready when you call.

Changes to CHIP coming in July!

New CHIP health plan 

Beginning July 1, 2024, Healthy U will be added as a new CHIP health plan. Starting May 1, new members can choose Healthy U as their CHIP health plan. Existing members can change their health plan to Healthy U during the annual open enrollment period from May1-June 15, 2024. Enrollment in Healthy U will start on July 1, 2024. For more information about Healthy U’s provider and hospital network, visit the Healthy U website or call their member services at 1-833-404-4300. 

No more CHIP premiums

Beginning July 1, 2024, CHIP will no longer charge families quarterly premiums for their CHIP and State CHIP coverage. Watch for more information to be announced on MyCase. 

New CHIP copays

Beginning July 1, 2024, there will be an increase in copays and deductibles for some covered services on CHIP Plan B and C. For information on what the new copay and deductible amounts will be, check out the new CHIP copay summary (English & Spanish) that will be effective on July 1.
