CHIP Member Update
New Changes for CHIP
State CHIP closing enrollment
State CHIP will close enrollment on October 31, 2024. After October 31, new applications will not be accepted until the next open enrollment period. Kids currently on State CHIP will stay covered after the program closes enrollment. Apply now!
New CHIP health plan
Beginning July 1, 2024, Healthy U is a new CHIP health plan. For more information about Healthy U’s provider and hospital network, visit the Healthy U website or call their member services at 1-833-404-4300.
No more CHIP premiums
Families on CHIP Plan B and C previously paid a $30 or $75 quarterly premium. After July 1, families are no longer charged a premium for their children’s CHIP coverage. If you have questions about your premiums or getting a refund for a premium that you have already paid, call DWS at 1-866-435-7414.
New CHIP copays
As of July 1, 2024, there is an increase in copays and deductibles for some covered services on CHIP Plan B and C. For information on what the new copay and deductible amounts are, check out the new CHIP copay summary (English & Spanish).
